GDIS 2021: A Virtual Experience

Pivot.  Not only was it the 2020 marketing word of the year according to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), it’s also what most companies had to do when considering an in-person event, opting to host virtual events, during the last 11 months due to COVID-19.  The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) decided to pivot too. Our annual technical event experience, Great Designs in Steel (GDIS), is going virtual. On May 19, attendees will be able to enjoy a community experience and learn about advancements using steel, meet interesting exhibitors and of course, connect with people within the industry.

The one-day event will open with a keynote speaker and feature three simultaneous tracks with more than 30 presentations in the lineup. The program will highlight industry discussions that focus on advanced high-strength steels, automotive design and manufacturing technologies. And yes, the event is still free to attend.

Sponsors and exhibitors can expect the same great promotion they have come to know – with a twist. The GDIS event platform will be active for a year, providing additional exposure, driving traffic back to the content rich exhibitor or sponsor booth.  Each virtual exhibitor sponsor booth provides a dedicated landing page to upload content, collateral and videos for attendees to view and download.  Also offered is an in-platform email messaging capability, face-to-face virtual booth hours – plus lead generation and analysis.
